The story of Valentine’s Farm and Agritourism is a beautiful story of a Roman family, the Marsili family, passionate about good food and health.

It is a story that began with a restaurant in Rome that is as hard to forget as its name: Myosotis, the Greek name for the flower “Forget-me-not,” which for 40 years has won awards and recognition nationally and internationally.

A place where the quality of the product that has always been the foundation of the company’s choices led the Marsili family to buy an abandoned farm near Amelia in Umbria in 1989 to renovate it and immediately start the farm with the planting of 2,000 olive trees of local cultivars. The farm was established for the needs of the restaurant in order to thus ensure the highest quality expression of extra virgin olive oil in both the kitchen and the dining room.

While the olive trees in Umbria bear fruit and produce a high-quality evo oil, Giuditta the daughter, at the time an interpreter and translator based in London, decided to return to Italy to devote herself to the family project. Finished in 2008 the Roman experience , the following year she decided to move permanently to the farmhouse between Lugnano in Teverina and Porchiano del Monte , renovated according to local architectural traditions to give birth in 2009 to Agriturismo San Valentino, making changes in the olive farm management in order to improve the quality of the oil and place it in the national and international market.

Giuditta became more and more passionate, became an educational worker accredited by the Region of Umbria, took courses as an oil taster, certified the olive groves in Organic Farming, giving birth to San Valentino Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil that is appreciated both in Italy and abroad.

But the farmhouse, strategically located on the border with Lazio and surrounded by greenery, among olive trees, centuries-old oaks and woods, offers not only a stay in an oasis of tranquility, but also experiences related to the world of oil , such as sensory tastings, knowledge transfer with educational experiences and cooking classes.

Given its location, the farmhouse is a reference point for those who want to know a part of Umbria still unknown to most. In fact, the farmhouse is a stone’s throw from the World Collection of Olive Trees “Olea Mundi” in Lugnano in Teverina, – one of the most beautiful villages in Italy – and within the circuit of the Amerini Paths and the Germanic Way, a perfect base for hiking, horseback riding or biking.
